Facebook boycott: Some see the signs of a new world order, others call it progress

Facebook Inc said on Friday it will start labelling newsworthy content that violates the social media company’s policies, and label all posts and ads about voting with links to authoritative information, including those from politicians, according to Reuters.

Apparently this is a push back from the large corporate clients for the recent positioning for freedom of speech. Facebook is a public forum under US law and the ideology based banes were highly criticised by the conservatives as more and more conservative voice were banned by the neomarxist censors at Facebook. In an article, Washington Time confronts Facebook on the accusations and received confirmation:

The online giant denied that it’s shown “systematic political bias,” but admitted employees played a bigger role than previously acknowledged in determining what news is highlighted in the trending topics section.

Former Facebook employees told Gizmodo earlier this month that they detected bias in the way news was “curated” by the site, with stories on top GOP figures, conservative commentators and right-wing causes getting short shrift.

It appears that the labelling of newsworthy content that violates the social media company’s policies come during a growing ad boycott campaign, called “Stop Hate for Profit,” that was started by several U.S. civil rights groups after the death of George Floyd, to pressure the company to act on “hate speech and misinformation” meaning every opinion that is not endorsed by the CNN and Washington Post.

This determined some of the companies, with a majority of left wing employees amongst, to agree to boycott Facebook by withdrawing their ads in USA. As a result the shares of Facebook closed down more than 8% on Friday.

A group of left wing corporations were able to once again push against freedom of speech policy in order to ban everything that is considered to be against the left dogma. The previous case was when President Trump was fact checked by Twitter based on, what they call, neutral fact-checking by CNN and the Washington Post. This bias fact-check was obviously disproved by the conclusion of a bipartisan 2005 report authored by the Commission on Federal Election Reform, which was chaired by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker but this does not mean anything to the angry mob as they do not care about the facts but their relative and left leaning truth.

What does these political actions say about the world we live in? It should first of all be worrisome for most of us liberals and conservatives as we need to understand the signs of a new world order. It is never good news when freedom of speech is banned, the religious freedoms are limited and the only world view accepted by the tolerant mob is their own. The history lessons are obvious especially if you lived during the communist regime in the Eastern Europe but not very clear for some of the western countries that did not experimented the totalitarian regimes.

There are differences in methods and tools between the present and past regimes but the effects are the same, the ban on divergent views. It started as a cultural and social movement with good slogans and intentions like equality and tolerance but, similar to the communist regimes that were also considered cool and progressive amongst the young population of Eastern Europe, the outcome is inevitable the same – the abolishment of individual liberties consecrated by the western judeo-christian civilisation.

You do not have to take our word for it, they already admitted the fact they are trained marxists. Not everything is a silly conspiracy theory such as the flat earth or 5G mind control – more too often this is a convenient and a complacent conclusion and the easiest way to dismiss someone nowadays, based on name-calling not on facts and arguments.
